kg6mov Replace filter, fill with ATF+4 instead of the maple syrup the PO appears to have used.

Drive for a week and repeat.

Mattmakya well its the 5.2L and as to what burnt it dont know. but i just pulled trany pan. filter is black an thick with sludge. bottom of pan same. not very meny shaveings. real fine shaveings. oh yeah its the awd 5.2L. thats my filter. 500 hundred bucks is what i paid two years ago.

You need to tell us which engine we have so we know which transmission you have. It would also help to know if the jeep is stock or modified.

What is the fluid level when the trans is warmed up and the jeep is running in neutral?

awd 95 trany.

hey i have a 95 Grand cherokee. one day i drove it parked for about an hour. when i went to turn around it was like trany was gone after i started to turn around. goes in to reverse okay. but nothing else. unless i rev it up.. nutarul makes a sound like in between gears. i burnt the fluid i know that. replaced the tps sensor. any info would be good. i got trans fluid and filter to change it. like i said any more info would be awesome. anything else it could be
