fishadventure The fact that they’re selling rotor points out how in the last years AMC began forgetting the ‘implement’ uses of the jeep. With Chrysler’s acquisition there was no thought of it whatsoever- they were viewing it as a car, an image, and a sales goal.
In spite of that, with the addition of not too many mods and even reasonable money the YJ is really the pinnacle of jeep development.

I’ve admired the Roxor. But after a long gander of a few on display on a quiet Sunday I thought, “ya, but I could build another YJ and drive it anywhere without musical grills and the serial number to go with it.”

bgredjeep In States that allow UTVs to be registered for the road I'd totally have a Roxor. They have a 5spd but are governed to like 45mph. You can get a tuner to remove the governor and pump up the power a bit like most diesels. Dirt simple cool little rig.

If someone is running an old Rupp minibike with no lights at night on the freeway and I mow them down with the F350, call the meat wagon. Lights are recommended. And the Rupp driver's widow owes me a new grill.

I want the best, preferably made in North America.

From now on I'm making an effort to buy everything from North American. Either USA or Canada.
are spicer brand no longer the preferred BJs? I just picked up a complete 1995 4cyl dana 30 w/ 4.10s to replace the 3.07s in my '89 4.2 and was planning on replacing everything in it while it is out.

I can buy a new Honda Grom 125 and speed all over town. No airbags, no side door beams no center mount brake light.

I'm shocked the nannies haven't outlawed skiing yet. Strapping slick boards to your feet and sliding down a mountain... sound like it should be illegal to me.

The EPA is a scam. All worried about my little Jeep. Meanwhile, 25 747's are (normally) taking off, blowing god knows what out the back.
Small aircraft STILL use leaded fuel.
Go look it up if ya don't believe me.

And those virus-riddled petri-dishes (also known as cruise ships) burn heavy oil. Just Carnivals cruise ships pollute 10 times more than all the cars in Europe.

Because it is a new vehicle:
1) crash tests, airbags, and side impact protection
2) emissions white paper and epa cert
3) fuel mileage standards

ATV's and UTV's are the exception in California. The nannies have decided that OHV's and black scary looking guns are bad.

Every other western state I know of does allow ATV's, UTV's, dune buggies and 5 horsepower minibikes are ok.
In Nevada, a $20 sticker is necessary.

Colorado was invaded by the Golden State nannies so they're f'ed as well.
Utah and Wyoming won't accept any other state registration so while visiting each of those, you'll have to buy their sticker.

So anywhere nannies run the state, sorry, SOL.

shaggyjim That was the impression I got. Like a kit car if you put blinkers on you can drive it on the road, however they are scary slow so maybe not a great idea. Just looking at it I bet a titled CJ tub would set on it real nice.
