lsmurphy Replace plug wire to number 1.

Rubs up against the AC compressor and arcs out.

Other than'll need to go through the wiring, clean all your grounds and connections. Sensors will need to be gone through or replaced. When was the last time the O2 was replaced?

Really frustrating running issue

Guys, I have a 1989 Comanche 2.5, 170000 miles. I love the thing. It run and drives great... sometimes. It can be a good truck and it can be a bad truck. One day it starts instantly and runs great. Park it overnight and the next day it will start, rev up high rpms, tapping the gas pedal it will slow down but not run well at all. Whenever I take it to a mechanic it behaves. I left it with a mechanic, the following day it started up and ran great. The following day the mechanic started to move it into his shop and it went into its bad truck mode. The mechanic told me that he did not think he would make it into the shop. On Friday he started it, ran great, he ventured around the block concerned that he would not make it, he did. He eventually drove the truck 22 miles with no problems. I told him to keep it until we could diagnose the intermittent problem. Here is a link to a short video showing it on a bad day. Ideas???
