Transmission fluid only runs through the condenser in the late 2004 WJ with the 4.0 engine.
Power steering fluid runs through the condenser in the late 2004 WJ with the 4.7 engine.

|dcorn||My '04 Overland with the 4.7HO definitely has a trans cooler in the radiator because one of the fittings has been leaking since I bought it. There are fittings on the top and bottom of the passenger side of the radiator with hardlines that run down to the trans. It's damn near impossible to get to the top fitting though, which I need to so I can put some teflon tape on it or just plug it and run an Aux cooler instead.|

The only thing I can figure out is they kept the same AC condensed and if you had the 4.7 the aux cooler portion was for the powersteering fluid. If you had the 4.0 it became the trans cooler. And the 42 behind the 4.0 needs all the help it can get.
Both 04's I have have the tow package and no extra cooler which also falls in line with a how to tow PDF from Chrysler that says no aux cooler needed.

So from what I have gathered, in the 2004, 4.0, WJ, ONLY it uses the radiator in it's entirety for the the coolant. The splits the AC condensor in half for the AC system and the transmission fluid cooler.
There weren't any oil coolers on the WJ's to my knowledge.

It is quite interesting that jeep uses the AC condenser aux cooler for the trans on the 4.0. If I understand correctly that split AC condenser was a 2004 thing only. The Aux cooler portion is quite big.
And another example of auto manufactures getting it right for the last model year.

|snobrdrkid07||I'll agree to that. This thread was originally for the 2004 WJ 4.0's|

Its too confusing saying it should be this or that. They changed over the years.
As an example my 04 Laredo with the 4.7 has no aux trans cooler and the top 1/3 of the AC condenser is the powersteering cooler.

The picture below is the stock aux cooler setup on a loaded out 4.7.

That is for the 4.0
I canabalized the hydraulic fan and PS Pump cooler from a 02 WJ with the 4.7
The transcooler is on the passanger side tank on the radiator. So it goes fan, rad, condensor and infront of that biased
toward the drive side is the Power steering cooler.

|snobrdrkid07||This is what the factory power steering cooler looked like...|
