RobsCrawlin7 no, I have a 4" with just a tc drop and I am ok. My TJ is getting stroked now and will be switching to a MML and ditching the tc drop so hopefully it works out. If you plan on keeping your drivetrain for the foreseeable future I would either do the sye now or soon. Only reason I am not is because I plan on swapping axles and throwing an atlas in it over the winter.

Is a SYE absolutely necessary with a 4 inch lift?

I just bought the 4 inch lift from Savvy, and was wondering if I can get away with washers for the skid plate? I plan on getting a SYE and new Woody driveshaft, but would like to know if it feasible for the time being. I currently have a 2.5 OME lift with skid plate washers now with no driveline vibes.
