I'm enjoying the 3 link setup on this pig.

I keep a Dewalt Impact in the Jeep just for the tires.
The one socket, thinking not rusted for taking them off, and a torque stick that is
definitely not rusted for putting them back on stay in the bag with the impact.
I don't think that is it but will check and report back.
You were 1/2 right. LOL.
Some of the rust was just that. A stain on the chrome.
Some was rust where the plating had chipped.
I could clean the rust off but could see and feel it is definetly chipped with my finger nail.
The only part that shows is the caps and they are still shiny and perfect though.
So that is really all that matters.

So yesterday beat me up pretty good. Figure I would do something easier today.
Detailed the interior. She is usually pretty clean. Not like when I was younger and practically lived in my vehicles.
Empty beer bottles, empty take out containers, empty coffee cups, empty packs of Camel Non-Filters, etc. LOL
I used to pull up to the garbage can in a commuter parking lot every once in awhile and just shovel everything out.
So if I can get the outside of the Jeep done that will be it for maintenance. Weather has been crappy so I am behind schedule.
Not that I have a schedule but am usually already done and putzing around with my little projects by now.
The only thing left is spark plugs but I am going to swap them out and combine that with installing my 155 amp alternator,
getting the old battery cables that are still zip tied in there out, and doing the Viper Coil Mod.
So not that you can see or smell but some obligatory pictures of a shiny nice smelling interior.

Replaced my hood with a ripped off latch and some dents with a new one.
I'll be able to go over 40mph now! [emoji1787]
Also going to toss on a new belt to hopefully get rid of an intermittent squeal.
When the PO had to pry the door open to get in once and the door is now bent and doesn't seal completely...

Today I cleaned the wheels/tires and rotated them. Rotate them once a year. Figure about 3K on the rotation.
To bad the Jeep is still dirty. LOL.
About 6 years ago I put the McGard lug nuts on my Jeep.
Sorry for the crappy pictures but I was trying to show you guys how they are rusting a little.
These shots are a fair representation of what they all look like.
Thing is the caps are not rusting and that is all you really see when on the Jeep. And they are way better then other options I have tried.
Been thinking about buying a package of 4 and then start defecting them all through McGard. Hey they do come with a lifetime warranty.
You have send in yours, what do you do for lug nuts (MLOL), so I figure I will defect 4 at a time.
See what kind of hoops they make me jump through.
Another thing that I do which I kind of thought was a waste of time was hit the inside of the wheel with some silicone spray.
I figured it would just wash off with the first rain. Crap sticks to it but ends up wiping pretty clean with a rag so.....
Since I have full size matching spare that is included in my rotation.
The white letters I had turned in when I bought the tires. I like the look but as soon as I damage a letter on a curb it would just annoy me so....
The tires have about 18K on them and are wearing very evenly and look pretty good. They are a 60K tire. They will be past their date code and dry rotted
before I even get close to that.

What does your Engine Temp Gauge read when at operating temperature now?
