PitBull4X4 I have one of the "up-shift " lights. Cool at first but than I know when to shift. Just took put some electrical tape over the light. No more light.

cruiser54 Take the bulb out. It was only there so they could get the vehicle to pass the EPA tests if it was driven like an old woman.

ovrmnjake I wish I could say. I've had a couple vehicles with that feature. I usually rev a little higher to shift than the light will tell you. Never had any problems with it, but the oldest vehicle I had it in was a '95 Honda Civic.

ezpottsy Thanks. Is there anything that goes wrong with them? Cause it comes on if i'm only doing 2k and even if I'm in 5th gear. I had originally thought that it was telling me to upshift and it was was a super cool feature, but then its on every time I accelerate even at low RPMs

ovrmnjake The light is advising you to up-shift.

87' Comanche Warning light question

My 86' Comanche Laredo 2.5L AMC, 5 speed manual has a light I don't recognize. ONLY when I'm accelerating a light on the left side of my cluster turns on, and turns off when I let off the pedal. It looks like the outline of an up arrow, or a house... any hints? And what does it mean (harmful?). Thanks!
