I went with the RE because I wanted their shocks. Mine came with the RE twin tubes and, so far, I'm very happy with them. IMO, it is a definate improvement over stock.
Mine took me about 4 hours to install by myself. I took frequent breaks to avoid getting mad (I have anger issues ) and wasted a lot of time trying to get the bar pins installed in the shocks without a vice. It wasn't hard and was a rewarding way to spend a Saturday.
I added a 1 1/4" BL and some 32x10.5 Swampers. I've flexed it until I hit the bumpstops and am far from rubbing anything.

Let's see, um, x5 on the RE BB?
You'll notice a little visual difference if you ONLY do the BB. The bigger difference is when you start upgrading to the bigger tires you can now fit.
Off road the extra little bit of clearance will be nice, but again you may not "notice it" unless you've been wheel'n with your Jeep already and have scraped your skid plate. One of the guys I've wheeled with has said he's amazed at the difference the $200 BB makes. He doesn't scrape much at all any more where as he was constantly "using" his skid plate. Where as I had my BB on within a month after I got my TJ and before I had really taken it on any serious off-road trails.
Now I have the 32x11.50's, BB, 1" BL, and a belly-up skid plate that gained me another 3" of ground clearance. Coupled with the Anti-rock I find this setup works really well for a good trail rig. PM me if there are any questions you have.

I have some before and after shots, but they are quite poor and really don't show much (as they were taken in the garage with horrible lighting). BUT, I do think it made a substantial differance in the apperance of the Jeep, especially when I went from 30" to 31" tires fairly shortly afterwards. Performance-wise... I don't know how much difference just the 2" BB provides... Disco's, YES, new Tires, YES... but it's all kind of works together I guess and really preferr my Jeep this way...

How long does the Rubicon Express install take and is there a noticable difference in the appearance and performance? Thanks.

I love my Rubicon Express BB...came with their twin-tube shocks...a little stiffer than stock, but I think they're better than the DT3000s. Got mine for under $200 shipped from DC4WD.com.

2" Budget Boost......Which One?
Which one is the preferred brand? I know they are all basically the same. I guess it just comes down to which one comes with the best shocks???
