CJ7-Tim Crown HD should stand up to extended shackles. There are some companies that make 2" lift leaf springs, or you might consider an add-a-leaf or building your custom leaf spring pack.

brizbayne lol no uni-body mods, but I did a little more looking and found that it has what I believe are 2" leaf spring shackles in the back. I want to replace the saggy leaf springs and I'm thinking of just getting a set of crown hd's. shouldn't be an issue with the post factory shackles, should it?

JeepJeffW Some of us just aren't so called EXPERTS when it comes to all things Jeep. We tend to concentrate on our personal vehicles and, every once in a while, try to contribute to the forum with "possible" relative insights. My constant learning curve was just proven with your enlightening me of this thing called a unibody. Now I have something else to learn about. But don't worry because I will still keep chiming in even if it turns out to be useless information.

Lifted? Can't tell..

Bought a '97 XJ a few years ago and I want to get the front end and suspension all shored up (starting to wobble a bit). Tie rod, sway bar, track bar, stabilizer...they all look pretty stock, but since it's starting to sag, I want to replace shocks and leaf springs eventually as well. Problem is, I can't really tell if it has been lifted by the previous owner. It looks like it sits a little higher than stock (before it started to sag anyways) but I don't want any mismatched parts in the suspension or front end. It's got some old beat up Rancho RS5239 shocks on front and rear but the leaf springs look stock as far as I can tell. Just googling those Ranchos I believe they're for 2" lifts and I also think it may have a ~2" lift spacer on the front springs (see pic)... I'm just not familiar with aftermarket suspension stuff, so any help would be great. As I said, I just don't want to get any mismatched parts. I loved the way it sat when I first bought it, so if it does have a small lift, I'd like to keep it that way. Thanks in advance!
