Installing an electronic brake controller
I installed a brake controller on our 2021 GC. This is how I did it.

Got my Trailhawk! Now I'm experiencing ColdCase's "miles of smiles" -
I have a couple questions about maintenance, not mechanical but I don't see a more relevant thread:
I have two choices for parking - my driveway, in full sun. I've ordered window shades all round. Or, under a tree that is a favorite spot for birds completing their digestion. So which is less worse for the paint, sunshine or bird poop?
Also, the interior is black and my dog is cream colored. Can anyone recommend seat covers, along with any other hair-avoidance methods? The back seat cover in particular needs to hold up under a large enthusiastic dog.
Thanks in advance -

I believe I have 2 horns ... think I have seen them ... but have only seen one reference to a fuse. Maybe it is because I stopped looking when I found one but was expecting to find a relay. I will look further. It is a 2018 model year Grand Cherokee.
Thanks for the reference to techauthority.com

You must have a late model with one horn fuse. Early models had two, one for each horn. There is a horn relay, but its on the TIPM circuit board. You may need to pull apart the TIPM to get at it. I don't see a DTC for the horn, so to troubleshoot you'll have to pull off the horn connectors and/or probe the TIPM connector. One horn wire should be connected to ground, the other should have 0 volts unless the horn switch is pressed. You may have to pull off the grill to get at the horns.
You should be able to get circuit diagrams applicable to your model year and cable routing at techauthority.com, for a subscription fee. I have early model stuff handy, but the horns were wired different then.

Horn not working
I suspect it is a rodent problem. The horn fuse is good but I can't find anything on a horn relay, are they not used anymore? Also, does the wiring for the horn go down the right or left front fenders?

I am looking for a powered side mirror (passenger) for my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. The body of the side mirror does not match the color of the jeep. Could someone please advise on the exact part number? Thank you.

|Northcreek||Doing the 40K mile maintenance on my 2016 Summit and the ELSD (rear axle) seemed a tad low. So I got a quart of the $45 special gear oil from FCA and was surprised that it took almost the full quart before it ran out of the fill plug. Anybody else have this happen? There are no leaks or problems, so it looks like this may have been low from the start. I am the third owner and the previous owners had dealer service.|

|ColdCase||Post 1 has a link to tech authority where you can get immediate access to service information and/or order service information on a USB stick. You need a windose computer, or VM, with exploder. More information is available on line than in the USB. There are no PDFs or paper service manuals besides those provided by aftermarket outfits like Haynes.|

I replaced that battery in my flashlight and it still doesn't work.
Not sure what the problem is, 3V at the battery. Ug.
Anyway, another one for you people who want to change the FP relay (external one after recall)
Mine is working great! I put electrical tape around the base to keep moisture out.

I know this is an important one for sure.
If your flashlight doesn't work, the battery is probably bad.
It's a Varta V500HT battery. Expensive too!
