g23crawler Little bit done on the motor, still waiting on heads. Also going to be stupid busy the next week or two, hopefully I can find some time to work on it. I would like to be done before Easter jeep, probably wont go since Iv been multiple times before but it would be nice to say its ready if I wanted to go!

g23crawler LS1 build time! Specs are unknown at this point, I need to do some more research on parts. I want it to be alittle wild but can still run on 87 if needed. I dont want to be in the middle of no where and worry about finding a premium pump.

g23crawler I already cut the back cross member out and moved the tank back. This works good with the 4" stretch armor I have from poison spyder. I guess I can always upgrade later if I want.

NashvilleTJ Here is the Genright 19 gallon Crawler next to the stock LJ 19 gallon tank. After removing the 2nd LJ cross member, it does allow for a good bit of stretch. You are right though, it is pricey. I toyed with the idea of stretching as much as I could with the stock tank, but in the end after all the work to stretch it, I wanted the axle as far back as possible while still keeping a good sized tank under there. I really, really wanted to get rid of that nasty LJ overhang.

108” was with factory tank. That was the absolute max stretch with the 14 bolt before it hit the tank

Yes, full hydro. I wanted 117” but ordered my lowers shorter than I should have.

Thanks, the build thread is longer and a little more detailed here. I was wondering why I had seen your thread before but wasn’t subscribed, then realized I was subscribed to the pirate one.

I think the rear stretch it’s more than that? Stock LJ is 103”. I was at 108” right after the frame tub extension which seemed to put my tires in the middle of LJ 4” stretch corners. That also makes since being 15” longer than YJ wheel base. After linking the rear it ended up at 112” (front was maybe stretched 1/2” at the time with leafs). Then after front links it ended up 116.5”. Hope this helps.

Pics for reference

NashvilleTJ Post it up if you can. It would be interesting to see how the position of the upper frame side mounts impact the anti-squat.

Enjoying your build. Looking forward to seeing the engine work you have planned.
