yzjwk I'm pretty sure it's just the timing chain cover seal or possibly the oil pan to cover seal that's leaking and not an actual issue with the pump itself. Do you see any oil spots on the ground where you park regularly? If not I wouldn't worry about it.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Oil Pump

Hey Everyone, First time posting here. I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with approximately 93k miles. I took the Jeep in this afternoon to a Jeep Dealership in Indianapolis to have the oil changed. After the oil was changed the representative stated that the employee changing the oil (not a mechanic) advised that my oil pump is leaking. The report also said my rear pinion seal was leaking as well. Luckily the rear pinion was replaced at the dealership two months ago and the dealership is going to correct the problem.

I have no issues with my oil pressure while driving the Jeep nor any check engine lights. Is this an issue I should be concerned about?

Thanks for the help.
