I just had to do the same thing for my Scion headlight (remove bumper cover). That was nothing compared to changing them on my brother's 1997 FORD F-250 7.3L V8 turbo diesel. A nice 3 hour job and huge PITA.

S8NNG8 Might be adding to the family!

Buxnort It's an old school local shop that has been helpful with our other cars (e.g. changing a headlight on an Acura, which requires either removing the front bumper or going in through the wheel well...headlights shouldn't be that much work!). The guys that own the place have built a few Jeeps, and the guy that does the alignments is a hard-core Jeep guy...I'm not even sure how many he's owned over the years. $70 to stay in their good graces is a good investment.

Luke95 Did hydro assist and replaced a steering box that was cracked at the ear. Unfortunately the new rebuild is a dud so it's going to go back to the guy that built it, hes built a few of my friends setups without issue. In the woods it's a solid 8.5/10 my full hydro felt better but this will allow my girlfriend to drive it next weekend at Harris mountain offroad. I have come to the realization that this thing needs to go down for a while so I can swap a 4.0L in that isn't leaving metal flakes in the pan and an ax15.

Buxnort Didn't do much on the XJ today... Did oil changes and other maintenance on other cars, then new windshield wipers for the Jeep plus finally mounted front "Nashville TN" license plate frame. It had been driving me nuts because the frame had holes on the bottom and the holes on the Jeep are only on top. I devised a solution using a silicone piece I bought on Amazon. Of course, I had the whole solution in my head, went into the hardware store this morning, and the guy talked me into some other half-assed solution using a completely different assortment of bolts and fasteners. It's fine for now...we'll eventually get a personalized license plate, at which time I'll affix the plate/frame/etc. properly. (I did also disassemble an old Char-Broil grill to throw away...it actually had some bolts that will work perfectly on that license plate puzzle!)

Later this week I'll be replacing the front tie rods and sway bar bushings (probably a bit more work than windshield wipers and a license plate frame), then taking it in for an alignment.
