rug_15 super old thread... people dont get pissy its the best right up of this mod ive seen. anyways, i have an open CAI and i hate it.. sucks water when i hit puddles.. lame. how well has this mod held up to mudding around and puddles? i feel like with the HMMWV cap that water wouldnt be super easy to get up in.. yes i know its not a snorkel but i feel like it would be a hell of alot better then my current situation or even a stock airbox. plus it looks cool.

Erm, it was answered, and yes it does, but I'm still putting it on my Mods list. I suppose you could make the cap almost flush.. but that kind of defeats the purpose. I'd have to fold my windsheild down and measure the gap.

goAF Not to resurrect a super old thread, but does your intake cap wobble at all? I'm in the process of doing this mod to my YJ--and this is the king of hummer inlet write ups. I've seen the 'good' yj write up--I don't like his method and i don't think it looks good. The trick on the YJ is you aren't able to hide the flange, and i need a flange collar strong enough to support the intake. Any advice or tips on how to do accomplish that would be great, and more importantly any input you have on intake wobble--generally how secure is it? Thanks!
