Rear rotor size for 17" wheels

I've got a 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport with 17" wheels. Just had the rotors replaced a few months ago and they're already cracked. Shop is saying it's because they don't fit my wheels and every time they torque down to 90lbs, it's gonna crack. I've never had this issue before. Any idea what size the rear rotors would need to be with a 17" wheel rather than the stock 16"? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

The shop is feeding you a load of crap Unless there’s some thing about your wheels (aftermarket?) that is actually contacting the rotor. And if that’s the case, larger rotors would probably make the problem worse . On the patriot, the stock 16 inch and 17 inch rims are interchangeable regardless of rotor diameter. I’ve actually never seen rotors crack before and I’ve beat some with a 10lb sledge hammer to get them off on occasion.
