I can get a universal deal for like $150 or a OEM magna for $350. The Jeep runs great the only reason I'm even doing all this if for state emissions test. Before I drop the $350 on a new catalytic convertor. I figured I'd check with you guys for so tips on maybe it being something a little cheaper. I'm could replace all 4 coil packs at $25 each, or the fuel pump $$$. All three codes list misfire and fuel pressure as one of the causes. Any thoughts?
Question is, does the car have an actual misfire? If yes, then it needs to be fixed as consumption, reliability and safety will suffer....if NOT, then put in a few CAT foolers to fool the ecu..

Just a question. In my 09 Compass, The check engine light comes on only in warm weather. Basically anything over freezing, but goes off at freezing or lower. I used the self check on the car by turning on the key 3 times to get the codes without using a OBD. However, the system tells me there are no codes! Also now and then, when in Drive and stopped..say at a red light. The car has what feels like a rough idle..but the RPM is constant with no changes.
I have no other warning lights..Temp or otherwise.
Any Ideas? Suggestions?

JBear73,

I'd recommend getting a hold of a code reader considering the check engine light would likely produce fault codes.
A Jeep dealer can certainly help you with this if needed.

Hondatrix I used the spark plug non-foulers on the O2 senor after the cat, and that worked for long enough for me to pass a state emissions inspection. So I'm good until next year, because it still runs fine.
