2010 Patriot code p0365

So my jeep is throwing a P0365 code which is the camshaft position sensor side B, I installed new camshaft and crankshaft sensors, but it is still showing the code. When the engine is cold the traction control light is on. It starts fine but when I start to drive it will suddenly downshift and rpms go way up, after the engine temp comes up to norm the 4WD & ABS lights come on and it seems to run fine then, but its still just throwing the one code, any ideas what I should be looking at?

For the cam sensor code, did you use a mopar sensor? They are notoriously fussy about cam and crank sensors. Also after you change those , you may need to remove a battery cable for about 10 min and step on the brakes to bleed the capacitors . Then reconnect and turn the ignition to on (not just accessory) and push the gas pedal down to the floor 3 times . Then start it. That should clear the adaptive memory and clear the codes at the same time.
The other problem sounds like it’s shifting into 4 low, I take it you have freedom drive II?
Possibly a linkage or shifter module contact issue.

Thanks, I did not use mopar sensors, I did disconnect the battery during the installation but did not do what you suggested, I'll give that a try, Freedom drive? I'm unsure it has the latitude trim package.

The Patriot came with either Freedom drive 1 or Freedom drive 2 4x4 systems.

Freedom drive2 has a 4x4 low option below D on the gear shift lever ( L - off road ).

If it were a regular transmission, I would say you might be low on transmission fluid, but being the CVT, I’m really not sure how it would react. It would definitely be something to check. There’s no dipstick, so unless someone At google knows the DIY, you might have to take it to a dealer. I do know if you have an ABS or other lights up, there will definitely be DTCs and you will need a decent scanner to get them. Most auto zone/ part store scanners won’t do it.
