On Sunday, installed a Pypes Performance High Ground Clearance catback exhaust.

The install was straight forward, cutting the old clamps and exhaust side hangers made the removal of my beat up, 7 year old factory exhaust easy. The kit came with everything needed, exhaust, hangers, clamps and plenty of mid pipe that you cut to fit your Jeep.

It is louder than the stock exhaust, definitely has a different sound in a more aggressive way and provides plenty of ground clearance over the stock setup.

I have a video/sound clip but it needs editing before I post that.

I've been suffering wandering steering over the past couple weeks so I replaced the ball joints and it made an immediate impact. Of course, while doing that I discovered that the U-joints need to be replaced as well...that's for next week. It never ends.

Update: My early optimism was misplaced.

And what ball joints did you go with? Gotta' do mine in the next few weeks and still undecided on which ones.

I went with higher end ACDelco ball joints -- I can't remember if they were from the Professional or Advantage line and the boxes are long gone now. They were more expensive but they had a solid warranty.

My other option was Dorman ball joints but I've heard they were merely okay.

Rolled 55K on the odometer, had an oil change and tire rotation.

What a difference in ride! The KM2's never felt like they had any issues, but the front must've started to wear a bit uneven. The rotation made world of difference in the steering wheel.

Replaced my clockspring. Was much simpler than I thought. Took about thirty minutes with the hardest part being removal of the steering wheel. Would have been much easier had I had a puller.

You'll love that hitch. Same as what I have. I notice you don't have a turnbuckle on the cable. You'll want one. These work great. Your cable looks almost tight. It needs a bit of slack. What did you do for tail lamps?

What did you do to your JK today?

Which cable?
If ur talking about the brake cable it has 2” of slack, i can push up on that cable with my fingers and right at 2” is when my brake lights come on. Brake lights are a hopkins 56200 kit and i have the roadmaster 88400 brake light relay kit
