How do your uppers line up with the Velcro on the door ? Mine seem to be a little short

Mine were a little short as well, but it doesn't bother me that much. I think half on the door, half on the top of the tube. it should be enough to hold it into place. I probably won't run those soft uppers on the highway as they look a little flimsy since the posts don't have a whole lot of support like a typical half door.

spray painted my dash accents a nice flat desert tan on my black sahara. It looks awesome. I used the tan that is part of the krylon camo series. Awesome color, dried flawlessly. Thinking of doing some tan floor mats or maybe some tan coverking ballistic seat covers.

Found my old Streamlight flashlight from my Volunteer Firefighter days, rehabbed it and mounted it in the Jeep, Installed a 12V outlet and USB outlets there also and installed 3 outlets in the front, one hidden to connect the appradio HDMI dongle to get Appradio working on my Pioneer with my S8. Now have full screen mirroring and function so I can run Waze and other phone apps on my HU.

I actually just bought my first Jeep this week, and today was the first time I took the top off. I'm completely hooked. I also made some grab handles for the front out of paracord, I'll probably make more for the back seat this weekend.

Finally added a third row. Looks like I'm gonna have to find a new location for my air tank.

I added these waterproof seat covers.
The brand is rough country. They look great fit great very tight. Built pretty darn well. My only issue is it covers the rear seats fold down latch which i use often. But for $150 i cant complain.

Trim pieces look good, is that pain specifically for plastics?? What prep work did you do?
Also I see you have an aftermarket head unit, what did you use to retain your steering wheel controls, do your Bluetooth buttons still work? And did you retain Sirius satellite radio?

New Powerstop Extreme Z36 Brakes

Installed new Powerstop Extreme Z36 Brake upgrade brakes today.

I also replaced all my lugs nuts because the dealership way over torqued them all when they rotated my tires last January. They had at least 150ft/lbs of torque on these. Two lug nuts snapped in half. Several others were twisted and about to break in half. This is what I get for decided to let them rotate the tires instead of doing it myself. They had to torch off two lug nuts. I'm hoping there's no weakening to the aluminum allow wheels. You can see discoloration of the aluminum on the backside and a slight cracking on the finish on the front. Do I ask them to replace the wheel? Hmmm.

Yesterday, I installed the Racor PHL-1R Pro HeavyLift hoist in the garage. Wish I had 10+ foot ceilings, but it works okay on 8' as well.

Then today, removed the top for the first time.

For the prep work i just washed them with a sponge in a bucket of water and dish soap. Hosed them off when they were done to make sure all the soap came off. Let them air dry for a few hours. The paint can says "also works on plastics." I dont think its 100% for plastic. This one dried very differently than the krylon camo though. I did a bunch of very thin coats with this one. The krylon one you could almost cover everything in the first go and it still dried flat. Since i had a spot i really didnt like on the steering wheel i used krud kutter and stripped the paint off the steering wheel to redo it, but the rest of the pieces have the krylon underneath. I just went right over it since i knew the krud kutter could always take it off.

As for the audio controls, everything works flawlessly. I got the $100 wiring harness from geek squad with the install. Believe its the RP4CH11. The bluetooth and steering wheel controls actually work faster than factory. I dont use the bluetooth much because i have carplay and spotify. My phone is always plugged into my car.
