Putting the shock forward of the apex of the tire helps with tire clearance. It also changes the motion ratio a bit so you can pull more travel than the 12" shock shaft. The guys at Brave Motorsports know their stuff!

Here's a similar setup they did on an FJ40 build.

I just added the Rancho geometry correction brackets last week. They made a big difference in the JKU's handling. At higher speeds it's no longer "flightly" or "twitchy". I'd highly recommend them!

Swapped out that cruddy stock dome light bulb with a red LED. Gotta love the small things. Dont mind the 7 cents that i shoved in the light to stop that obnoxious rattling...

Downloaded ~300 songs onto the hard drive and connected my iPod.

I just got mine installed on the wife's jeep last week. Huge improvement, it drives like it did before the lift now. Did you have a heck of a time getting the first side done? I could not get the upper arm lined up, I had a strap pulling the axle and a jack trying to twist it before I realized I was trying to fight the twist from the other side of the axle. I ended up loosening the arm bolts on the other side and then it popped right in.
