my handy dandy iphone conversion app says...

563nm=415lb of torque stock.

869nm=640lb of torque on the boost.

dunno... seems a little odd to me. I just don't see my heep making that much power... (mines stock)

but then I been wrong before

Torque at the wheels is higher then at the engine due to gear reduction. Throw it in 4LO and those numbers will triple or quadruple depending on which transfer case you have.

2008 Jeep JK X: auto trans, 3.73 gears, D44 rear, D30 front
Mods: 2'' Rusty's coil lift, Superchips 93 octane tune, Cobra 75 CB radio, 33'' Duratrac's, onboard air compressor

yes, you are absolutely correct! But I still wasn't expecting those numbers... It is just a gut feeling if you know what I mean? I guess I never really thought that much about it.

Of course, they could throw a set of 37's under it and watch it all go to poo!!

But it would look great doing it!!

I'd put a snorkel on that air cleaner... ...but, other than that, I'm a big fan of forced induction. Thanks for sharing this, mate.

Thanks Bill and thanks for posting pics etc for me. Have plenty more.
Just got back from test drive with a very happy customer
Has transformed the Jeep. Down the line will upgrade the injectors and run more boost providing the trans is happy.

Jason, did you source the turbo from another car or did you buy it new for this purpose?

Turbo is a common new garret unit speced for the application similar in size to a "GT35/40"
