Sway bar sheared off frame?

Hello!

I just got a 2007 JK with 122k miles on it. It is pristine but I didn't notice one detail. The front drivers sway bar is sheared off of the frame. It looks like someone tried to recover with the sway bar...

Am I screwed or where could I go to fix this? In the chicago suburbs if anyone knows anyone.

Dam, that's not good.
You're going to need a body shop or someone good with a welder to do some serious repairs.
Hopefully, you can find someone willing to fabricate some patchwork, because the replacement front frame extension is over $1000 for just the part.

How do you install the new frame section? Is it weld in?

Yes, it would need to be welded in. Any body shop that does frame repairs can do it.

If you decide you're going to buy the frame extension, call a dealership parts department and have them look up the part# by your VIN. There are a couple different ones available.

Anyone have any idea where to go to get this done? I don’t know if a normal body shop would even look?
