Ahhhh thanks. That was supposed to be my window. I'm gonna guess I'm probably delayed two weeks now also.

attention everyone...

...i'd like to introduce you to the "blue beast":

she's even prettier than the pictures.

i thought i had ordered manual windows/locks (even had the sales lady confirm it the same day ordered), but it came with power. oh well, i was ordering manual to save weight in the doors. i guess i need to eat my wheaties the days i'm planning on removing them.

also, i thought it was pretty cool that the jeep came with oh shhh!t handles. i remember having to order them when i had black jeep, but i opened the middle console to find both front and rear grab handles.

it was pretty late when we left the dealership, but everything else seems to be as ordered.

Your boy looks like he is loving his new seat!

My baby girl (turned 4 today) can't wait for daddy's new "car".

finally had good weather and some time...

the family all just played in the jeep while i had some music on and installed a mod.

mod 1 - grab handles & hanger straps - (included w/ jeep) - lots of stuff i never got with my 2008 x sport. grab handles for the front and back, coat hanger straps, and a tool kit for the doors. installed the grab handles and coat hanger straps today. ( yes, i'll count this as a mod)

the grab handles seem a little less sturdy than the mastercraft ones that i had on black jeep, and the rear ones that were included are strapped and not bolted like the mastercraft ones. for $free.99, i really can't complain.

already looking at bumpers and flares...

Congrats!! Mine took just about a month to arrive after I ordered it, took delivery on the 16th. My Unlimited was loaded, stickered at over 42K, had to get back to basics with this one, only option is the connectivity group. Slightly regretting not ordering leather again though. Love that color blue!

jeep gonorrhea?

was riding around with my son yesterday on a pretty humid day here in h-town. anyway, windows down and a/c on a bit. we got home from our errands and getting out of the jeep i hear a sizzle like eggs frying. then silence, then eggs frying, then silence, etc, etc. look under the jeep and right at the joint at the t-case above the exhaust there's a little drop coming down and dropping on the exhaust. at first i thought it was tcase fluid/oil, but when i put my finger on it and smelled it, it wasn't oil. i believe it was water. (see pic/vid above)

so questions:

1. wtf is this liquid and where is it coming from? ...it was pretty humid out, so i'm guessing it was condensation discharge from the a/c?

2. anyone else see/hear this before on their wrangler?

3. dripping cold water on the exhaust doesn't seem very conducive to the longevity of the exhaust at that location. my third eye sees a hole forming over time...aka exhaust leak...aka problems in future...should i take in to dealership?

hmmmm...

Surprised the dealer didn't tell you, the rubicon comes standard with power windows and locks. I have never seen where you can take a standard feature off. Could have gone half doors?

Congrats on the new jeep!!! You'll love it

Just the unlimited comes with power windows and locks standard. The 2 door does not, it's extra.

saleslady that was helping me said there was an option she checked off for manual windows...but i guess it was overridden by the standard feature? it's okay, they're definitely more convenient than the manuals.

half doors were a no-go on a rubi. i was wanting to order them, but according to saleslady, the only way to get them was to order a sport. (i'm sure there's a way, but not through her access)

I thought for sure any rubicon can with power windows and locks, just an upscale package with upscale features like the Sahara. But I see it's the power convenience group package for 1595 that gets you the power locks and windows
