Should I wait for 2012?

I am planning on checking out a couple 2011 Rubicons tomorrow. Normally I would wait but I can get a good deal and 0% on the 2011. I am afraid that the deals and 0% will be gone for the 2012's. I respect your opinions so please give them! Also as a side note I am also torn between manual and auto.

The 0% is for the 2011 until the end of the month. Friend just picked up one for 0% this past week. Have not heard if they are carring it over until next month.

Just depends on your situation. I'm an impulsive guy. I told my wife one morning that it was time to get a new Jeep so we went and got one. If you want to wait and the 3.6 is something you want, then wait. I rented a Grand Cherokee this week with the Pentastar and really wasn't that impressed. I wanted to be, but I wasn't. Also, get a manual. Just my worthless opinion.

Well, look at the price now + a RIPP SC and compare to the pricing on a 2012 Rubi. I don't think you will be disappointed either way. 0% now and then throw on a Super Charger, if you can swing it, or the Pentastar + new tranny. The Rubicon is a very capable vehicle in its stock form, even with the 4:10s and 3.8l. The knock a lot of folks have is with the Auto tranny mated to the 3.8l. When you go up in tire size, which you will once you get the bug, it effects the the shift points, rolling resistance, fuel economy, acceleration, etc. With the auto, this is what makes it cumbersome to drive without the overdrive turned off all the time, leading to consistently higher RPMS and worse fuel efficiency. With a stick you have more control over your shift points and i think it is less problematic. Normally a re-gear is in order for the auto, which is an additional expense that usually tops the $1000 mark but, has a marked improvement to the driving experience. Maybe test driving the 2011 cherokee and the '11 Rubi will help you make a more informed call. Be advised, I can't guarantee that the '12 JK and 11 Cherokee will have the same "feel", but I would think that it is close.

Waiting for something better is a train of thought that is difficult to overcome,if you wait till the end of 2012 you will likely get the same deal.You see where I am going with this?

Fine one you like and buy it, whether it is price or features.
