Radiator Fan/thermostat/fan clutch/Cooling issues

Greetings,

I had some coolant/engine work done in the last year or so like a main seal replacement, flush, tubes etc. Everything seems to be ok in that department. In the last couple of days I noticed that once I'm in idle or at a stoplight, the radiator fan started spinning really fast and the temperature seemed to rise a little bit on the instrument panel. After a few google searches there could be some things going on here like to check the J19 fuse or maybe even the thermostat. Other people have suggested to check the fan clutch. Does the JK have a fan clutch since it is electrical? This morning I completely rinsed and cleaned the radiator. It was pretty dirty. I also did some regular engine cleaning work.

Anything else I should check before having the mechanic look at this? I'm not really mechanical but I can do a few things.

when cold remove radiator coolant cap -ck fluid.
SCAN for codes- part stores often do as a customer service - to make money.

Will selection of AC or defrost change fan issue?

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.
