Pure Gas in Denver Area

I was pleasantly surprised last month when I gassing up at the Murphy Express (aka Wallyworld gas station) in Centennial and found that they are selling ethanol free gas at some of the pumps. Turns out it's 87 octane (here in CO, 85 octane is considered "regular" grade gas due to the altitude) and it's the same price as the mid-grade 87 octane E10 gas. So far I'm on my 2nd tank of it & my Rubicon seems to be running smoother & seems more responsive. I was surprised they could even sell it with all of the tofu smoking tree huggers here. Only other time I've seen pure gas in this state is in the way rural areas and not much even then. I want to run at least 5 tanks of it thru and keep track of my mileage to see if that's any different. So far I've seen probably a .2 to .3 increase in gas mileage but that's probably within a normal variance.

Outside of the city/county of Denver, they're still allowed to sell ethanol-free. You won't find it inside the city. There's a couple stations in Lakewood I use that sell it too.
Most stations close to Denver proper don't carry it, simply because their supplier doesn't carry it on their tankers. The farther away from town you get, the more ethanol-free you find.

Those figures are about the same as I've experienced running 'real' gas.
For me the extra cost of it was worth the mileage and performance boost. It ran a lot smoother and had better power all around.
