Puddle of water

2016 Rubicon 45K miles. Never wrecked. Everytime there’s a heavy rain I find a puddle of water on the floor of the front passenger floor. I can’t figure out where it’s coming from. Any thoughts? Is this typical?

Your top is leaking somewhere. Very common, both on hard and soft tops. Here's Jeep's service manual to find and fix leaks:

'09 JK Rubicon
'01 XJ Sport
'10 Fusion

Here's my guess based on my own experience:

When it rains like that (the moment it stops), get in and immediatley look at the a pillar with the door openm I bet you see a very small line of water, right down the middle or so, or even on the very front part of the door.

Then look at the very base of the door where the plastic comes to the edge inside your cab, and I bet you see a black line where that trickle ran down along the door, stopped at the bottom, and onto your carpet

Good judgement comes from experience; experience comes from bad judgement
