Is this the pentastar tick?

It's getting worse. I'm heading to Rausch Creek so I was going to try to drop it off Monday. Is this the Pentastar tick and has anyone had it covered under warranty?

I don't want your d**n lemons! What the hell are these?! Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! WITH THE LEMONS! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that BURNS YOUR HOUSE DOWN!

The 2008 Jeep Wrangler is not so much an SUV as it is an experience. It's slow and loud, handles poorly, has crummy interior materials and features doors that provide virtually no crash protection. But when it comes to off-road performance, the Wrangler is simply the best choice available.

might be heard better near the left bank head, i could not hear well enough from that. if it is at all. if you had the tick, maybe look up others videos that did have it. compare.

Dealer wont do much unless it has a code. The issue you are referring to was more a 2013.6 and older 3.6s.

My 2012 jkr built in late 2011. had the issue at 20k in oct of 2013. Codes p302-6 and p300. tested by a leak down test found that 2 and 6 exhaust leaked. new head. But it ticked out of the box from new. sounds like a old VW that need the lash set. At the time the dealer did not have a head anyway. I was 2 days from leaving for the Rubicon. My dealer said it will make it just drop it in after you get back the head would be waiting. made the run no troubles other then a code. Though during the run i had a code of being to rich as well as the 302/4 codes and 300. after the new head the O2s on that bank failed. i wonder why...... i replaced those rather simple.

if it ticks up high in the valve covers, never did before. few things could be fubar and not be the head but valve train related.

Doesn't sound like it, and I'm familiar with it because mine is in the shop right now for that very issue. No code, but as it's obviously defective it IS covered under warranty.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to get a better video. We were at Rausch this past weekend and I didn't hear it and it has been a bit less than normal. I think I just need to get her in and let the dealer go from there. I trust my dealer enough that if it is a warrant-able issue they'll tell me. Either way, I have extended warranty.
