Lockers not engaging

I have a 2007 Rubicon and my lockers will not lock.

Stock rims and tires, no lift.

Lights blink I am under 18 mph, in 4 low.

I turn the wheel back and forth to help align, no luck.

Any thoughts?

If I take the covers off, can I just spray the diffs with carb cleaner or brake cleaner and try to engage them?

you can try that, some people have reported that some gear oils disagree with the locker and dont function well. Im using royal purple at the moment and mine will function 99% of the time within a foot of me activating them. Use brake cleaner, it leaves less residue. Might be a good time to change fluids also. Are you just looking at the lights or have you tried to feel if the lockers are working?

FWIW, when I did the gear change, there is a small tab that got broken off that was essentially the sensor for the computer to know the e-lockers had engaged. Created the same symptoms - lights would just blink and never go solid.

Turned out the lockers were working despite this, just not showing up on the dash. Check to see if the axle is still locking. Might just be a bad sensor.

Sorry, I did it out here in the PacNW. I grew up in Chi town - South Side boy - but live near Seattle now.

For those in Seattle, ECT did the work.
