No worries a body lift is unnecessary and discouraged in nearly every scenario on the JK. Unless you're cramming 40s plus on a low center of gravity build, all suspension lift is ideal. Your 33s fit on the stock suspension, so your 2" spacers are plenty. If you're talking about going to 35s, a little extra may not hurt, and many here will suggest losing your RC spacers and considering a 2.5" to 3" suspension system.

I live in Fishers. A few of us go wheeling at least once a month, and grab a beer together a couple times a month. Our next run is Dec 3rd to Badlands. It's toys for tots, so come out and wheel for a good cause.

Looks great man, are those the duratracs? Any rubbing without the lift?

They're 285/75R16 Goodyear Wranglers. (get it, Wrangler? lol) I've had them since last March and not once had any sort of rubbing issue.

I had the JK for about a month and decided at the least I needed a set of lights, and a wheel/tire combo. That was pretty much all I could afford to do at the moment. When its time to buy new tires, I'm gonna do a lift + new wheel/bigger tire combo. I'm trying to decide (thanks to this thread) whether to do a 2.5" lift and keep it under warranty or do a 6" lift and make it badass. I have plenty of time to decide though.

Would like to get up with some Raleigh, NC area Jeepers and have a few beers/bull****ting sessions.

Let's go wheelin'!!

More lift dosent make a jeep badass. The least amount of lift to fit the biggest tire possible does though! Do a 2.5 inch with 35s, thats all you need.

33 inch tires with a six inch lift would look ridiculous IMO

What are goodyear wranglers? Goodyear makes a bunch of different "wrangler" tires. Those must be the duratracs. I'm planning on doing the same with 15s. How much backspacing are you working with?

I just went outside and checked (I'm at work) and yes they're Duratracs. My bad for not being explicit previously.

If I went 6", I'd get different wheel/tire. Probably some XD Monster wheels with big tires.

I'm not too serious about lifting until its time for new tires, but how would a 2.5" look with my current wheel/tire setup? Ridiculous?

Let's go wheelin'!!
