How much did you pay for the top without hardware? Hope you got a great deal on it to make up for all of the things it didn't come with.

lets clear up some confusion first.

you dont NEED the surrounds for the top to work, but you need them to prevent leaks and gaps.

not sure if a 2010 soft top will work on 07-09 but an 07-09 will fit on all years. the top was changed in 2010 to not have the tucking drop rail.

with that said, you need to make sure to get surrounds from 07-09 if you are running an 07-09 top.

top prices seem to be dropping, im seeing them around 300 with obos on other forums with all hardware included. hold out for a complete set up and save yourself the trouble.

as for leaks, my soft top on my 2010 is from a 2007, i have zero leaks and ive been in some heavy rainstorms.

The side rear windows would be useless with out door surrounds. The leading edges of the side rear soft top windows would severely flap around with out surrounds. Also the sunrider portion wouldn't have the latches to clip into with out door surrounds. Running a soft top with out door surrounds wouldn't be safe.

I got the top for $150.00. It has the bows, soft top all windows. It also came with the tailgate brackets and the knobs do tighten it down.

hunt ebay and craigslist and you may get lucky, just make sure its the right version 07-09 for the 07-09 soft top and 10 brackets for the 10 soft top.

On the installation guide the Torx screw "W", what size is it. I was going to install it today and noticed I did not have the four screws. They are the screws which attach the bow mount brackets to the sports bar.

Thanks
