Dead Turn Signal and Side Marker

My driver side marker died a while ago, my drivers side front turn signal burnt out recently. I got new bulbs for both and neither work.

I cleaned the connections and even replaced the wire harness from the loom to the side marker and still nothing.

I swapped the plugs for both the side marker and the turn signal to the other side and they work there.

I can just wire in jumper wires from the passenger side to the drivers side markers but what is causing the dead turn signal? I want to get that working again.

Every time I have had problems with the park/turn signal lights, it has been due to bad ground connections. Rather than trying to trace the ground wire through the bundles, I just run a new ground wire from the socket to the nearest bolt in the body.

Thank you. I like it. Sounds like I will do that Monday.

Much appreciated. That fixed both of the lights. Thanks!

After repairing some ground wires it worked perfectly for 2 days... and it’s broke again.

Check for 12 volts and continuity to ground at the pins in the sockets.

Which bold did you use? I’ve done a few bodge wires and ran a local ground to the bumper coupler to the frame. It works intermittently now at least. I want to fix permanently as it really pissing me off. Thanks.

I don't know what this means.
