The oil change light is so dumb. Who doesn't know to change the oil?

I figured someone would request a citation as soon as I posted. I'll start digging and see if I can't find anything to support this.

Are you serious?

I think its great. A lot of people know when to change their oil but sometimes wait a bit too long. Others like me, just say to themselves Ill change it next week and end up forgetting about it for whatever reason and not doing it for another 1000 miles. I leave the chiming on until I complete the task. Although annoying, its affective.

It's also designed to save some oil and avoid "overchangeing" every 3K like the quick lubes would prefer, and really isn't needed except under (very) severe conditions...
