bad shaking during hard breaking

Ok here is my issue when I get on the breaks hard on the highway on a secton of damaged or unlevel pavment my jeep will almost jump out of the lane i also get a bad shacking in the break pedal and it feels like the abs is kicking in. What are your thoughts???

Here is my set-up 2010 Rubicon Unlimited 4 inch Rough Country Lift kit and new RC shocks, and 1.25 RC body lift. I also have the dual RC front strearing stabalizers. I am rolling on 20x10 XD wheels with 325x60x20 Nitto dune graplers

How many miles are on the Jeep and on the rotors? With those big tires (especially if you have an auto), you probably heated up the rotors a few too many times and warped them.

Sounds like warped rotors to me as well. But your tire size has nothing to do with it. Odds are one of the calipers hung up and over heated the rotor, you ride your brakes, or you tried driving around with the emergency brake on. Does the vibration exist in the steering wheel or your seat? If it is the steering wheel then look at your front brakes, if it feels like it is in your seat check your rear brakes (I'm 92.435% sure that is where you will find the problem the rear brakes are crap and get used way to much by the computer for its ESP stuff).

While your larger tires do tax the brakes more they shouldn't warp them for normal driving. It would require something more like this:

thanks for the feed back, I just pulled the rotors last week and had them checked at the machine shop they are good no warp. As for the parking break i never use it, as for riding the break i dont as we all know with a lifted jeep and big tires you better leave a little more room to stop. Its a 2010 with less than 8300 miles i think there has got to be something im over looking. I have no pull no vibration in the seat or the wheel it only shackes the break pedal when i stand on the breaks

shake:

1. To cause to move to and fro with jerky movements.
2. To cause to quiver, tremble, vibrate, or rock.
3. To cause to lose stability or waver:

You break a stick in half, you brake in your vehicle when you want to slow down.

Thank you...I was going crazy. Thought it was just a typo in the title until I saw it several more times

OP - Is the shake ONLY when braking? Or does it happen other times? Do you notice the ESP light kicking on, or the traction light?

Does this happen only on damaged or unlevel pavement?

How does it behave on a smooth, level road?

That would eliminate any problem with the rotors.

I think you are on the right track when you say it feels like the ABS is kicking in. I would suspect the vehicle erroneously thinks it's entering a skid, and is applying individual brakes, causing the Jeep to dart one way and the other.

The usual cause for this type of sensitivity is a steering wheel out of center.

It could be as simple as a wheel skidding when you brake hard on the damaged and uneven roads. The ABS would kick in then, too.
