Backspacing on stock 18" rims with 275/70R??

Anyone know the backspacing I need so I will not have any rubbing at full turn on my sway bar? I'm running 275/70R18 BFG A/T KOs on my stock 18" Sahara rims. I really dig the rims so I kept em but when I turn (and I mean FULL turn) the nubs rub on the sway bar. I'm getting the Skyjacker 2" BB but I don't think that'll jack it up enough to get rid of the rub. Will 1.5" be enough or do I need bigger? And yes, I would love to spend some money on some steel 15 or 16s but I don't have the funds right now to buy rims AND new tires...but in my dreams they'd look just like the Rocky Mountain edition rims...

Thanks for your help!

Throw on a set of wheel spacers, you can keep your rim!

7" is the backspacing. I bought 16" rims and tires for the same price as a set of 18" tires. 18" tires are limited in what you can get and are expensive.

My apologies...I already have the 275/70R18s on the stock rims and they rub...I meant to phrase the inquiry as what width wheel spacers do I need? Dirtman...I am assuming since you got 7" of back spacing with your 16" rims that I would need at least 2" wheel spacers. Is this correct?

The stock 18" wheels have 6" of back space!
You need to use either 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" spacers to get the clearance needed.
Refer to the F.A.Q. "Will It Rub" and "More About Tires / Wheels" for basic guidelines.

Just adjust the steering stops and you won't rub. Free mod.

Eh, I like the turning radius too much...haha

I would think 1.5" would be enough. My new rims have a 4.5" backspace and I now have about 2" of clearance to my sway bar.

Safer and smarter than spacers.

Wheels with proper backspacing really are the answer. All of the stock wheels have ill-suited backspacing from the factory and the 18s were just a bad idea overall.
I didn't even know that mine came with 18s until I got home; I just assumed they were 17s....

Okay. Sold. So how do we go about adjusting the steering stops? Forgive me...not sure how that's done.
