2011 JK Tire Question

Would I be able to use 255/70R18 on a stock 2011 Jeep Wrangler JK without using lift kits?

I have R17 on them now and want to upgrade them.

Thanks for any info!

Are you asking if you can go up a wheel size?

Yes, that size tire will fit fine on a JK with 18" wheels

Personally, I would stay with the 17's unless you got a killer deal on 18" wheels.

its the same size as the 32- they put on in 17" just the whole is larger for the 18" wheel +-. So it fits since its basically stock size. As well the jeep can fit 32.5ish+- as long as its 10.5 not a 12.5. Those tires if they claim are 32.2 i can bet they wont measure it and will be 31.5 or less. so again good. at 12.5 wide tire you need less back space on the wheel and it should be wider as well then the stock. 8.5 is min for most any 12.5 wide tire on the specs.

even if say these were 22" wheels god forbid. on a 32. its still a 32.
thats a good deal for 5 wheels and the rubber. even with 18" wheels. long as the rubber is good. was a steal if rubber is like new. At/Mt tires can get expensive, well you can by Chicom. I wont.

Great explanation..... The rubber isn't that great, but I was going to replace the tires on the 17 within next few months anyway. I was debating on going with the Falken Wildpeaks this time. It would be 875 for 5.... Think that was a great deal and read these are very competitive to the Duratracs, unless I'm wrong.

I am currently running duratracs, and as great as they are (40,000 miles and still in good condition) I plan on moving to the Falkens as well. Seem like a great all around tire for a good price.
