Finally took care of my faded hardtop and brought it back to life, I used some purple power degreaser (can be found at any Walmart) and a tough plastic scrubbing brush and brushed all the dirt and grime off the hard top then hosed it down, I let it all dry up and made sure there was no water drops anywhere on the hard top, I went to my local Lowe’s and picked up a quart of penetrol ($11.00) and some microfiber clothes ($5.00) I soaked the microfiber clothe by pouring the penetrol on it till it was soaked but not dripping all over (it’s hard to remove from the windows, tires and anything else it gets on) I passed the clothe all over the hardtop till I got the entire thing then I let it dry and I went over it again a few more times while letting it dry in between coats, came out great the hardtop literally looks brand new compared to before. By the way I made the silly mistake to apply the penetrol on the inside of my doors and on my dash And although it looked nice and shiny it left a super sticky residue that I wouldn’t recommend

I am sure i will get flak for this but oh well. Following the footprint of the article “Abusing Squirrels” from Fourwheeler.com I installed the bored out throttle body with spacer.

So what did you do different from the inside to the outside? No sticky residue on the outside? I'd like to bring my hard top back(yours looks real good, BTW)but, I'm getting set to move the RV to Arizona for the winter, and most of my wheeling will be in the dusty desert. Don't want the top to turn dusty brown and me not be able to clean it off.

This stuff here is amazing. I did it on my fading 07 F150 plastic and it looks like the day I put it on. The hardtop shown above may have needed two coats but it would have brought back the color.

Getting ready to install some new parts on a buddy's recently purchased TJ, and installing some stock parts back onto mine.

Got some new (old) full doors sent in today from a picknpull. They aren't perfect, but in far superior condition than my current doors that i can put my fingers through the bottoms when pulling my doors off

Drove it down to the Quadratec tent sale this morning. Found a great deal on a JKS front trackbar and got a discount on side steps, too.

Waxing the hood on my 2003. Bump the footman loop. For crying out loud It's plastic and it broke in two.

Good grief.

It was a big project but I replaced it with a stainless steel Kentrol. It matches my hinges and such.

Pulled the glass, lock cylinder, and handle out of my replacement drivers door to hopefully start sanding it and prepping it for paint. Going to order new exterior handles for it as the replacement door handle and latch is worse than my current ones.I just hope I remember where and how everything went come time for reassembly

I think my ac is finally done for... I usually have to top off the refrigerant about once a year, and it is good to the winter. Yesterday, I drove to work and when I closed my passenger side door, some ice fell from the jeep, perfectly the diameter of the coolant line... The heat was on during my drive. So I hopped back in and started the jeep, blasted the AC and nothing...

Luckily it is the cooler months now. I got a few other things I want to knock or before I met with that...
