Picked up some tan seats and a black rollbar. Gonna clean everything up and swap it in soon hopefully. Roll bars came with front seat belts, so now I'll have an extra front set to sell.

Got back from a deployment to Norway recently and bought my TJ a buddy. I didn’t like these trucks at first but went on a test drive and had to have it. The bonus here is I don’t have to daily drive my TJ anymore so I can put some serious work in to it.

Removed the Daystar hood latch pins and polyurethane dog bones I installed over 9 years ago. They had been great, totally eliminating any hood slap at high speeds or when driving into the wind. I noticed several cracks in them today, and they have become pretty brittle. Gotta remember not to drive it until I put the new ones on.

I've had my hood wranglers fitted several years now. The sun isn't so strong over here but I guess I'll have to keep an eye on mine now and again.

That’s cool! How is it to wheel with a trailer?

Thanks! The trailer honestly tows great off-road, and of course on the road as well as it safely follows the Jeep along at 70 mph. The trailer has its own shocks, leaf-springs, low center of gravity (nothing mounted up high), electric brakes, a 3500# axle, and also the trailer is narrower then the Jeep so it takes really tight turns. On the Jeep side I have a shock absorbing ball mount so get no jerking from the trailer, and a brake controller.

I wonít take the trailer on really tight switchbacks, or narrow trails where others have to pass me (in those cases Iíll leave it at a campground). I also have to be careful about whatís down the trail and keep in mind can I turn around if I have to? (In one case, I had to unhook, and spin it around, which I can easily move this trailer around being that itís not that heavy.) The weight loaded is about 1100#s.

It really follows along great and has made camping much more comfortably with having a TJ. The roof top tent on the trailer is so much better then the old two-man ground tent I use to carry.

Recent camping out at Alstrom Point, above Lake Powell...

Installed some powertank inflator/deflators

Also put on a pair of Currie LJ rear springs on my TJ, problem solved! Gained an 1.375". Now it will sit level when loaded out

old RE 4.5" vs new Currie 4" LJ springs. I suspect the ride is going to be better too.

Picked up a set (5) of new wheels/tires, removed the UCF skids, put the OE skid back on, and pulled the PSC cage. Then pulled the console and gave it a good interior wash.

Just a little TLC over the last couple weeks. New valve cover gasket, new pvc elbows/hoses, new rear pinion seal, and new bump stops today.

Next, new front and rear axle seals.

I am multi-talented, I can talk and piss you off at the same time.
