What backspacing is needed for 285/75/16's so I have no rub?

Hey trying to move my LJ up to some 33's and I've found a lot of info for 12.5" wide tires but nothing for 11.5" (or I guess 11.22" according to the tire calculator). Has anyone had any experience with this size?

I would be doing this in conjunction with the metalcloak 3.5" aluminum arb lift I think, but I'm open to suggestions on that too where at best 20% of my driving would be offroad.

4.5" or less should do it. I prefer less backspacing so my tires stick out farther.

you can assume the info for 12.5" wide is the same. 3.75-4.25" backspacing is what you should look for.

is 285's too wide for 7" wide wheels or should I stick to some 16x8's?

Awesome thanks! 16x8 are actually cheaper, but I figured 16x7 might save some weight for the wheels I'm going to order.

Tried to send PM but erikb's mailbox is full...

Wanna buy my factory Rubi Wheels? They are 16x8. I had 285/75 16's on them for a while.

They're just lying around.

This is 285/75 16's on them with a crappy 4" lift
