Viair 300P mount location

Hello All,

I plan on mounting my Viair 300P in the location shown below. Anybody see a reason this would be an issue? I'm not sure what the part is called that's right next to the body of the compressor but will the heat from the compressor damage this?

Thanks!!

I think that part has something to do with the cruise control- dont think it will hurt anything

Yep, cruise control solenoid. It's sitting above the exhaust manifold and pre-cats, so it already sees a LOT of heat. Adding a compressor won't bother it.

Here is a link to my Viair 400H under hood install, using the same location next to the cruise control servo.

My primary concern in that location would be how well is the Viair pump sealed against water ingress.

My compressor never gets wet at all in that location. In any event, while Viair compressors are not completely waterproof, they have sufficient sealing to repel the occasional splash of water - including from a hose used to wash the engine bay.
