UCF Lopro mount does not fit my '97

I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, but there is no way this is going to work. The bolt cannot go in as the mount is right up against the transfer case. Even if it did i'm pretty sure the transfer case gear selector is going to hit the mount if I try and shift it into 4 low. I sent UCF an email on Wednesday requesting the instructions and have not got a reply. I called them twice on Friday and nobody answered. I'm using the '03 and up instructions as they were all I could find online so maybe something is different in the install...

Anybody done one of these on an early TJ? What am I missing here?

Did a little searching and found another thread that had a guy with my same issue. Looks like on the early TJs the mount is 180 from the late model TJs. So the bushing is on the passenger side. Wish I would have figured that out before I ground down the driver's side.

Seems like that would be a big design difference though. Wouldn't you want it on the opposite side of the of the engine/ forward driveline rotation?

Pretty sure it is backwards, the last picture shows it on the driver side, mine is on the passenger side. Might be different though if running an auto but your profile says ax-15
