Transfer Case Identification

I am considering buying a SYE instead of the transfer case drop kit when I lift my Jeep. I don't know much about the SYE's though. Are there different types for the type of transfer case that the Jeep has?

I have a 2006 TJ I6 6-speed. I believe my Jeep has the 241OR TC, but I'm not sure.

Only Rubicon's came with the 241. If you have that transfer case you wouldn't need a SYE. All other TJs came with the 231.

there is a metal round tag to the left of the rear driveshaft on the back side of the transfer case, that will tell you what model t-case you got.

thanks for the help. I am not lucky enough to have a rubicon. Are there any brands that sell better SYE's than others? The prices vary a lot. Rugged Ridge has cheap ones, but are they cheaply made?

I didn't notice it was a clear tube. That is pretty cool. I've been getting my pinky dirty for years!
