It hangs way lower than the factory unit, which causes interference with oil pan skids, and the bends dont hug the oil pan any where near as tight. Once it curves around and goes down the side of the engine, it is almost right up against the passenger side upper control arm bracket.
It's the same with the Magnaflow y-pipe. My Magnaflow ended up sitting about 1/8" below my right side UCA, ended up having about 1/2" of downtravel before it hit. Had to take it to a shop and have them cut a section out and reweld it. I'm sure when I get some underarmor I'll be right back cutting it up again. Don't know why, but it seems pretty much all the manufacturers have trouble making a replacement pipe to the same dimensions as stock.

No big deal. I was asking which part # you were running because we don't produce a direct-fit Y-pipe for the TJ.

sometimes simple questions have unexpected variables, changes made mid year during a production run, or modifications or new ways of addressing a situation that might be cheaper, better, or simpler. Does one want inexpensive, get it back on the road; best performance; or a solution that is close to stock as possible. Searches can be difficult sometimes - finding the right key words, etc.

Yes but My computer is 6 years old and my wine cellar has a number of 5 year old selections - my 74&75 CJs are quite old too. Of course they could delete old threads - This reminds me of a battle I fought in the Boar War.....

2.5 - 2.23"

On my 1997 TJ the exhaust is 2.5" from the engine to the cat then 2.25 from the muffler to the end of the tail pipe.

I have just fabricated up a new mandrel bent 2.25" pipe from the muffler to the end of the tailpipe. The stock tail pipe necks down to about 1.9" at the bends, so my new on should be better.

( I made the new tailpipe to clear some space for my new suspension system.)

Hope that helps

Reminds me of the Cubans who had their Florida real estate taken away from them by the Clinton administration in the late 1990s, at 10 cents on the dollar. "I come from a pig country! I didn't know this is pig country, too," etc., etc., . . .

That kind of **** can swing close elections, at least in Florida.

I don't miss that kind of action - I only miss the clarity
