Steering box

My current steering box is about to go on my 05 TJ, I ordered a new steering box and have it on hand but before I put it in some people are saying maybe I should get a more upgraded steering box because of the 4in lift & 35s. What do you guys think and if I should get an upgraded box what should I look at, keep in mind I donít go extreme off-roading appreciate.

I use the OEM steering box with 35's and have no problem with it.
I did add a cooler on the return line to help when its working hard...

Just my .02 I have the same PSC Box that biff has for sale. Damn good box.Mine stock one was leaking, so why not upgrade? I also went with their pump, cooler. I also have 35's ,lockers .But I don't wheel as hard as some , we over build our jeeps so why not steering also?

AEV Hi-Line and some stuff

If you're mechanically inclined at all, you can rebuild your current box. West Texas Offroad offers a heavy duty rebuild kit that is excellent in my opinion. It runs about $50 but it is worth it.

Who is selling an 02 box? I'm not. Perhaps you were misreading prior post that talked about somebody giving their .02. That's two cents not a 2002 model.

Yep... that was it. I thought he said he had the same box that you were selling, but off of his '02 for sale.
I guess that's what I get for reading too fast...

I run the stock steering box with 35s and haven't had any issues. If it were me, I'd just replace it with a stock unit. Quick easy job.
