Smittybilt Seat brackets - Install PICS ** Updated

Hey fellow jeepers.

So I ordered some ****tybilt brackets for the LJ. I ordered the Passenger and Driver side brackets (49902/03). The passenger came with a new Tilt lever for the Fold n Tumble function BUT the driver side did NOT come with a lever??

I phoned SB and they said the driver side does not Fold n Tumble....well mine does. He said he has never heard of the Driver option with a Fold n Tumble and its never been an issue with the 1000s they have sold. They have never supplied a lever for that option on the driver side.

Am I an exception? I figured all 2000-2006 with Fold n Tumble seats were on both sides. Is it an LJ thing? He has created a ticket and wants me to send him pictures of my Driver side with Fold n Tumble so he can ask his R&D dept...

Hoping some others can chime in if BOTH sides Fold n Tumble.

Thanks.

Thats what I thought. Its so bizarre that they have never heard of the driver side tumbling too.

My coworker says his 2003 TJ did not have a Driver Fold n Tumble option. Maybe it was an option at the dealership you had to pay extra for?

My 2003 doesn't have a fold and tumble driver's seat. It folds forward but it doesn't tumble.

Full fold and tumble on mine. At least it did before I changed the seats.

My 2006 LJ has fold and tumble on both sides. Tuffy security products webpage talks about the drivers fold and tumble for their under seat drawer incompatibility.

My theory on the apparent randomness is that DC had multiple suppliers for the seat bases and some produced fold and tumble for the driver's side and some did not. As frames came down the assembly line workers grabbed whatever was in stock at the time and that depended on which supplier had delivered most recently.

For what it's worth, my 06 does fold and tumble on the driver's side.

Thanks to all!

I really appreciate everyone taking their time to give their responses. I am forwarding some responses to Smittybilt so they know that the drivers seat INDEED come on some/most TJs.

Cheers.
