shifter shaking violently in first and second gear?

when i get goin down the road in first and second gear the shifter will shake extremely violently, i can even put my han on it and try to hold it down but that wont stop it. im thinkin its my transmission mount? or maybe something else and help would be awesome, btw this is my first post

get under your rig and look at all your mounts.

the mounts look to be in a good condition, i just changed the transmission fluids, but i did find one bolt missing on the drivers side of the transfer case

when in doubt, press the skinny pedal!

Sometimes just looking at the mounts while its still on the Jeep wont show the problem. Just support your transmission, then drop your skid plate and take a good look at the mount.

alright man im gonna do that when i get home from work. it probably needs to be changed any which way

any update on this?? I'm having the same problem, especially if i take my foot off the gas in first gear or even just slowing down while coasting

mine ended up being fromt he front driveshaft, i had to get a new one. the yoke and just about everythign else had been destroyed.

when in doubt, press the skinny pedal!
