Some Savvy nerf bars would be pretty cool too.

I don't either but I figure if I chime in every once and while it might

I'm still wondering, also wonder why its already not on both sides from the factory.

It has to do with the longer frame, why it's not on both sides I don't fully understand yet, but why it's on one I do.

Not fully sure but the body mount welded to the frame is cracked off fully on the vertical weld.
The other side cracked the frame at the bottom of the mount leg from it flexing and stressing the frame. I think they saw an issue on one side, braced it and it hadn't shown up on the other side yet. All speculation at this point though but it is the only thing that points to them only putting the reinforcement on one side and I suspect that since the trackbar mount is on the same side, that the additional load from the trackbar might be a contributing factor.

Thats the most reasonable explanation Iíve heard so far in regards to the plate on one side only.

Iím going to keep posting on this thread... today I finally got around to installing a set of Savvy aluminum TJ corner guards with the optional 3/8Ē inner plates.

Oh, and I ordered the shackle only Savvy rear bumper. Waiting for that to come back in stock so I can sell this UCF one.

RDaniel, How was the armor install? I've contemplated getting some myself.

The install was very easy and simple. The hardest part was drilling the first hole in the side. But having a good nutsert tool will make things easier for the few nutserts.

Nice jeep.
I've noticed you have a lot of upgrades. I hope you get to wheel it somewhere besides the beach. Not trying to be an a$$, just curious.

I have a 5 day trip to Windrock TN in October. I also donít tend to stop and get out of my Jeep to take pictures of it off road, but I guess I have to do that more often now. My Jeep has been changing over the past 6+ years and I have no reason to beat the **** out of it or hack it up like an XJ. But this jeep also spend some time sitting in storage while Iím overseas deployed as a military contractor.

A few weeks ago I changed up my tire carrier. I did get GenRight’s aluminum tire carrier. I kept the UCF rear bumper on my jeep till after my trip to Tennessee. But now I’m driving around with no rear bumper. I’m still on the backorder list for the shackle only one.

I kept my license plate mounted on the tub so I can remove the hole carrier and not have that weight while on the trail.

Cool. I've been to Windrock in my Scrambler. Would like to go back with my LJ, but there's so many other places I haven't been to yet.
