Replacing Airbags
I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler that I just bought and it is going to need both airbags replaced. I have never done an airbag replacement like this before and was wondering what was involved for the sensors and the module. The airbags themselves is pretty straight forward, I'm just wondering what else needs to be replaced? I have read that the modules on the new Jeeps reset themselves, but I'm not to sure on that. Also will the sensors need to be replaced or not?. Thanks

Unplug battery FIRST!
The steering wheel air bag is easy. The passenger side took a while. One plug is all that connects an air bag to the system. My 2006 reset itself.

I might just call the dealer also and just double check to see if it resets. I'm sure they won't want to tell me because they would rather charge me, but its worth a shot.

My '04 self reset. You may also need to check the fuses and the clockspring. It is an easy job that just takes patience. As provelogear stated, steering wheel is easy, passenger side takes a while.
At that point where it's too much to list!

The bags that I'm getting are coming with a clock spring which is nice. Will I need to replace the sensors or do they reset also. And by resetting does that mean that "I replace the bags" sort version and that is it?
