Relocate License plate

Hey guys i am having an issue with my 02 TJ. Whenever i go wheeling yje exess plate about 2 inches that hangs lower off the front bumper gets folded underneath, and the plate also keeps bending outward. What solutions have you guys came up with for this problem?

Im thinken ablot leaving the bottom folded and zip screwing it to secure it. I just dont want a ticket for it being folded.

I don't know how NJ is but I have to fold liscense plates on two different trailers just so they will fit the OEM bracket, the plate can still be read so I don't see a problem.

I just take mine off when wheeling. You have two choices if you want to leave it on. Raise it up and use the two bottom holes on the plate ( this is where mine is at right now) where it will look really stupid, or raise it up just a bit and redrill the bumper so it mounts flush with the bottom of the bumper.

I put mine on the frame cover and ziptied it on, never any probs with the cops. I lived in bergen county where the cops are notorious for giving multiple tickets and it was never a prob.

I forget what I put under the top of the plate to angle it, but the plate was very visible and was out of the way!

well, there now is a good excuse to buy a winch. After you buy it, mount the license plate to the roller fairlead with mag lite clips.
