clear lens, and looks clear, when lights on shows red, when brakes applied shows red. They all come from tractor trailers suppliers, trucks have more rules then cars. If trailers pass very intensive inspections with these taillights jeeps will pass!

American SuperLite - Crystal Clear LED Lighting Systems

I like the clear with red LED’s. I got a set of these for the TJ-6 (will be installing soon). I did install a set of clear/ amber in the grill some time ago, good product. Good luck

IMH unasked opinion, clear lenses are lame. And not just the way they look.
If you get rear ended, a good lawyer will convince the judge that his/her client was temporarily awestruck at the amount of money you spent on those lights.
Like another said, it's a Jeep and thats it.

I have the clear and love then. When ever I get my rear corners painted silver to match the jeep, they will look even better.

I have not been pulled over for the lights. If anyone ever says anything to me about not having reflectors, I'm just going to put a reflective red sticker on the bumper or something like that.

clear super lights vs stock as a running light.

I have crunched my tail light, broken blinkers, marking lights etc. Unless they are recessed I would go with whatever is cheapest.

Personal preference would be red, I don't like the way the clears one look on most vehicles.
